# Deploy with Claude Code

Deploying with Claude Code means the agent uses the Unbroker CLI to create or update a service. Claude Code does not host the application. Unbroker builds and runs it after ubctl deploys the repository you point at. The implementation prompt, the wait command, and failure recovery are in the documentation.

## Deploy an app with Claude Code

1. Install the ubctl-ops skill and authenticate the ubctl CLI. The install guide starts with a read-only listing of your projects. The documented deployment flow uses an Unbroker Pro organization.
2. Open the application repository in Claude Code. Name the organization, project, and service, and say whether this is a new service or an update to an existing one.
3. Ask the agent to inspect the framework, build command, start command, and which secret keys the service needs. Enter those values in Cloud. Do not paste secret values into the chat.
4. Let the agent run the deployment and wait until it reaches a terminal state. A queued deployment is not a finished release. The docs page shows the ubctl wait command.
5. Open the public URL and check a real response. Use the docs page to recover from a failed build or a failed health check before you retry.

## Where the tutorial lives

This page is the short answer. The documentation page is the tutorial: it has the prompt to give Claude Code, the requirement to replace placeholder names, and what a completed deployment report should include.

The same skill can inspect an existing project or diagnose a failed release. It runs ubctl as you would in a terminal. It does not replace your application's release checks.

## Questions

### Can Claude Code deploy an app to Unbroker?

Yes, when it has the ubctl-ops skill and an authenticated ubctl CLI. It deploys by creating or updating an Unbroker service. The app then runs on Unbroker, not inside Claude Code.

### Does Claude Code host the deployed app?

No. Claude Code edits and operates through the CLI. Hosting, builds, and the public URL are Unbroker Cloud Apps.

### Where is the full Claude Code deployment guide?

The tutorial is Deploy an application with Claude Code in the Unbroker docs. It includes the prompt, the wait command, and how to read a failed attempt.
